SOWEGA (Southwest Georgia) Reporting Trip

As part of a class on health and medical journalism, my classmates and I made a trip this March to southwest Georgia (in and around Albany, Georgia) to report on inequalities in health and healthcare access in the region. Included in this post are a few shots I took to establish context for my particular story, which dealt with nutrition and obesity prevention in rural schools. Stay tuned for updates on that story (Note: now available as part of the Place Matters series on Georgia Health News), but for now, enjoy these shots of Americus, Doerun and Moultrie Georgia.
